Selling to Us
Crossley Evans offers a service to those customers that want to sell excess scrap metal for a competitive price, whether you’re a member of the public, a scrap metal merchant or tradesman, a manufacturer, in the construction industry or a government body. We actively support charities and local groups too.
Our loyal customers repeatedly use our service, simply because we offer competitive, fair prices and manage their waste responsibly, ethically and legally.
If you are selling scrap metal to us, all we ask is that you follow our simple process:
- 1. Set up an account with us (Name, Address, Contact Number, Bank Account – Sort Code and Account Number)
- 2. Provide copies of ID (Photocard Driving Licence or Passport AND Utility bill dated within the last three months)
- 3. Material is then weighed (usually the whole vehicle before and after material is unloaded, or on a manual scale, in the case of smaller amounts)
- 4. Materials are checked for authenticity and to ensure that no prohibited items are included (eg hazardous waste, vessels such as gas canisters and liquids)
- 5. We charge for some items including tyres, non-recyclable waste, potentially pressurised vessels/containers, wood, cardboard, paper and plastic
- 6. Materials are priced, a receipt provided and payment arranged (via BACS within three working days)
